“Climate Change” Contest Awards

The “Climate Change” awards ceremony will be held on the 2nd of March 2016 (Wednesday) at the Noble Amphitheatre (Anfiteatro Nobre) of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP), at 2:30 p.m.
At the session, the prizes for the three categories of the contest will be awarded to the winning schools or groups: category A (Adaptation); category B (Mitigation) and category C (Climate Change).
During the event, honourable mentions will also be awarded to educational institutions that have distinguished themselves due to the quality of their applications, and there will be room for rewarding the school with the best media dossier on climate change.
“We are very pleased to organise this ceremony, which will reward the best ideas of adaptation and/or mitigation of climate change submitted to the competition. All schools are to be congratulated on the quality of the proposed work. We invite all to participate in the event”, says José Azevedo, Clima@EduMedia coordinator.
The director of the FLUP, Fernanda Ribeiro, will also be attending the ceremony, as well as the Deputy Director of the General Directorate for Education (DGE), Eulália Alexandre. Additionally, Eduardo Santos, director of the Climate Change Department pf the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) and manager of the AdaPT programme, will also be present.
The deputy director of the JN, Inês Cardoso, will participate in the session to award the school with the best media dossier.
The ceremony is open to the public and is free.
