Clima@EduMedia discusses risk perceptions on climate change at

The 9th edition of the Portuguese Congress of Sociology - Portugal territory of territories takes place from 6th to 8th July at the University of the Algarve. Clima@EduMedia participates in the event with the presentation of an oral communication dedicated to risk perceptions about climate change in Youtube videos.
The intervention of the Faculty of Arts of University of Porto will take place on July 7th, within the scope of the thematic section "Environment and Society".
Gonçalo Barbosa, a member of Clima@EduMedia’s staff, will explain how YouTube videos communicate the risks of climate change, namely in terms of the type of contents presented, the pessimistic or optimistic framing of the themes and their editing scheme.
The study of this theme allows the project to produce contents more adjusted to the problems of perception identified.
The organization of the Congress is assured by the Portuguese Association of Sociology. The program of the event is available online.
