Researchers from University of Iceland in Portugal
Published on the 9th of December, 2016
The researcher Thorvardur Árnason, from the University of Iceland, a partner of Clima@EduMedia, visited Portugal in December to meet the project leaders at the Faculty of Arts of University of Porto.
The icelandic professor and environmental humanist, as he calls himself, had already been in Porto in 2015 for a series of meetings with the team responsible for the Portuguese project.
At the time, the Icelandic wanted to know closely the activities that were already being carried out, namely the training actions on average and climate change, given in dozens of schools, at national level.
This time, Thorvardur Árnason returned to take stock of the initiatives undertaken and to learn about new education projects in the climate change area using media, thus consolidating and strengthening bilateral relations.
The researcher also had the opportunity to exchange experiences with Portuguese and Icelandic teachers and students on ongoing actions about climate change.
Iceland is, together with Norway and Liechtenstein, one of the EEA Grants donor countries, which finances Clima@EduMedia.
