The 4th edition of SciComPT, the largest national science communication conference, will take place between the 26th and the 27th of May at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento (“Knowledge Pavilion”), in Lisbon. Clima@EduMedia is attending the event with an oral communication and presentation of a poster.
This year's SciComPT focuses on the theme “Science does not belong only to scientists”. The researchers participating in the congress will discuss the contribution of communication to the process of appropriation of science by citizens.
In line with this idea, the Clima@EduMedia team will share its experience on the use of media literacy to promote the scientific literacy of students of the 3rd cycle and secondary education, on the theme of climate change.
The main results of the project will be presented on the 27th of May, Friday.
The Congress, whose provisional programme is now available, is organised by the SciComPT Network (Rede de Comunicação de Ciência e Tecnologia de Portugal/ Science and Technology Communication Network of Portugal), formally established on the 18th of November 2014.
